However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the gnolls.

Personality: She is filled with cunning. She likes to feign weakness letting people think she is weak. She is accommodating to her spouse and as such limits her hospitality. She is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven herself a capable leader.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to her current location. Some 5 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Shadow never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.
