Upon awakening, Balam discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

History: Arha was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her father was employed at, doing general labor. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered writing. She is searching for what she claims is her rightful reward.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her father. Dentratha abandoned her home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. She survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. She did whatever it took for her to survive. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Dentratha fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
