Personality: Thradal is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. History: She comes from a rich western family. She was a friend to animals and a trickster. In her defense of animals however she would do severe harm to people. She now mingles about in high society.

Personality: He speaks before he thinks and is too direct. He constantly seizes attention wherever he goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. He likes to think of himself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: Richard hails from a village terrorized by orcs. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

History: A child with a great deal of poetry talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. Her father was a soldier and died while she was still young. Pennie was left her father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She has never given up on her poetry dream.

Personality: Hatae speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. She is clearly well-traveled and educated. She pushes her goals aggressively. She is also a coward if confronted.

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She has recently attracted an admirer that believes she's playing hard to get.

Motivation: She is terrified, and will act out of fear; and she feels the way she acts is they only way to get by in the world

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Ortegar embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. He loves teas. He is very sensitive about his face. To blow off anger he lifts weights and to control his otherwise explosive temper he works out a lot.

History: His psionic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. Through the years after Ortegar was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Ortegar's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Barrister and was forced into it by his family; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion
