Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. He is skeptical of what others tell him and is slow to trust.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. While he appears to be a normal Gnome, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Personality: She will rave to anyone who will listen. She is accommodating to her spouse and as such limits her hospitality. She is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven herself a capable leader.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a daughter. She has since married many spouses, only to have them die. She claims to not be responsible.

Description: He appears as an extremely gaunt Elf, and stands approximately 5'1". He has the majority of his body covered in plate, and his gloved hand is found clutching a spear. His small hat is riddled with cuts and holes. This gray eyed westerner is not easily forgotten.

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. He is able to fit into much smaller and tighter spaces than normal.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He was granted psionic powers by his dying brother.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and to get a good night's sleep

Description: Relatively heavier built than your average man, he is not imposing. He wears a custom-built plate barding that's adorned with yellow lining and desert motifs. His black hair is slicked back into a classic pompadour. His eyes are a pleasant gray.

Personality: He goes out his way to put a smile on everyone's face. There's no-one he won't accept into his heart. Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. Over the years he perfected his riding and shooting skills. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Dwarves.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Nalral was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Dwarven conditions. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. He is frequently practicing swordplay.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Erdan grew up listening to his mother's many stories. His mother took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

History: Tordek lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: She is quiet and unassuming. She ignores others and carries on with her job unassumingly. She tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.

History: When she was but 8 years old her parents immigrated from the south. Being born in the south, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the south for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way east. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: To reunite with her absent mother; and find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother
