Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.

History: Born to a Map Maker, his father struggled to pay the bills. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and his religion dominates his actions

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation she is generally quite perceptive. She notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. She does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for her. She lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: She was born in a small mountains village. From there she went from mercenary job to mercenary job. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature crossbow.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He now mingles about in high society.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He always admired martial-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered music. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Many dire rats want her driven away; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and she desires to right it

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes orcs are coming to abduct people. He has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: He was born into a rich family. At a young age his mother died while driving off some orcs. His father being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in hand crossbow use. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and he wants revenge against orcs

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. Before the accident, she was one of the most outspoken anti-Gnomish activists. She was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Gnomish doctor. She has never given up on her writing dream.

History: She was born in the south, but her parents moved at a very young age to the west. Her father took her hunting and taught her how to get in the mind of other creatures. When she grew older, she became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. She began work as a mercenary for hire. She would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.
