He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

History: A child with a great deal of music talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Nella grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Nella. After a long history of fighting, Nella and her spouse have recently divorced.

History: Barendd was born with his father's beautiful face. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered west to less war torn lands. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.
