History: A powerful wizard made her what she is. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Halflings in Merla's homeland. Merla decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Merla fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: When he was but 8 years old his parents immigrated from the north. Ostracized due to the arcane powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Halflings became a terror of the countryside. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Personality: Ghâm hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his dancing career. He has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His childhood dream was to be a Soapmaker, but he was a colossal failure. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He was born in the west. Thradal was born on a far western desert where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Shepherd. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

History: Born in the south to a Weaver, Three learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Weaver work with an outfit from a few towns over. Weaver work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She has worked as a Weaver like her mother before her.
