She was preparing to flee to the east, but the outbreak of war prevented her and her father from journeying east to reunite her family. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. Through the years after Joan was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Theodoric was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared.
