History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and he made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it
