Personality: She is erratic and paranoid. She believes brigands are coming to abduct people. Around other people she will do her best to conceal her emotions and appear jolly.

History: Ella hails from a village terrorized by brigands. Her parents were killed by brigands in a raid when she was still a young child. The brigands captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He misses his glory days as an athlete. He does not mind his job, but it is boring in comparison. Flattery will make him almost putty in your hands.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Shamash was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He always admired druidic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Blacksmith. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Blacksmith for the past few years.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg; and sabotage a competitor

Her partner is her best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. She plays an instrument quite well.

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered writing. She now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Personality: He can speak with the recently deceased. His temper goes off on the smallest of things. He tends to lash out at those around him.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by brigands. Umpen was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the brigands.
