Personality: He fancies himself a trickster and likes to rely on his wits to carry the day. He cares for his older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. He is accommodating to his spouse and as such limits his hospitality. He is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven himself a capable leader.

History: He comes from a rich western family. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love; and he is greedy

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. He invites people to come help in his community garden.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Ruler arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has never given up on his poetry dream.

Personality: He is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before his hampering stammer kicks in. He seeks to pay back kindness whenever he gets the chance. Whether it be in the form of unwanted serenades or the latest gossip he always seeks to do solids for his friends.

History: A child with a great deal of poetry talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. He has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. A gifted student he started as a Brewer, but he got bored and became a Barber. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Description: He is a physically imposing dark-skinned man. He does not wear sleeves and tends to eschew shirts when he can avoid it. His brown hair has been sun bleached extensively. His face possesses mild wrinkles. His smile is extraordinarily sincere though he does not smile often.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes giants are coming to abduct people. He is harsh and unforgiving.

History: Godfrey hails from a village terrorized by giants. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He has been helping groups of widows and orphans who have fled abusive spouses or lost their families to giants.

Motivation: He wants random interesting trinkets and junk, hates to throw anything away; and revenge

History: The child of northern immigrants she idolized her mother. In her formative years she discovered how persuasive she was. She began using that to her advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
