She is fiercely devoted to her mother, and views her mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-brother.

History: She was born in the north. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the north were limited. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.

He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Butcher work with an outfit from a few towns over. Butcher work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.
