History: Veloptima was raised in a hard working conservative environment. While she appears to be a normal Gnome, she's... not quite right. Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.

A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Motivation: To reunite with her absent mother; and doesn't want to be a scribe and was forced into it by her family

Personality: His tongue was cut out and he uses sign language. He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the north; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

Personality: Stoic and calm, she prefers to meditate than take action. Around other people she will do her best to conceal her emotions and appear jolly.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. In his 16th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Bathin was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the dire rats.

Motivation: He doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes; and many dire rats want him driven away
