History: He was born at the edge of vast desert. Arnold liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: She was born in the north, but her parents moved at a very young age to the east. Through the years after Portia was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Portia's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
