She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. History: Syllin hails from a village terrorized by giants. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.
