History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Valafar was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Cartwright. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 8 years.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. A few years later when the west was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.

Personality: She seems absolutely devoid of it. She stares off into space and will respond with overly literal and minimalist answers to questions. She is a ruthless business woman, a trait she acquired from her mother.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a son. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Personality: She is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before her hampering stammer kicks in. She has a small toy that she constantly fidgets with.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Kadana grew up listening to her father's many stories. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Farmer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor.
