History: Ernest hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. He helped his mother out around the business and became quite the natural. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 15 years.

Description: A pudgy woman standing about 2'10" has a big stupid grin on her face most of the time. She wears skinny pants and wears a red and blue robe with the hood down. Her silver hair is wavy and long. Her half smiles and gray eyes are beguiling and draw you in.

Personality: She is curt in most of her responses. She prefers to keep her word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. She believes the world needs to unite to get rid of giants once and for all.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Bella was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Bella liked to wander the woods near her home when she was young, something she still likes to do at least once a week. She never liked modest clothing or shoes, so she would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and she developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and she desires to right it.

Personality: She hates brigands. She views them as having robbed her home of its proper glory. She plays an instrument quite well.

History: Yvonne was raised in a hard working conservative environment. In her 11th year, her parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Yvonne alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has achieved small success as a Sage.

Description: Dark and lean, she is a relatively plain woman. She is typically in her Beggar uniform. Her crest, while still mostly rusty, has prominent grey streaks. This gold eyed westerner is not easily forgotten.

Personality: Eccentric and domineering, Havilar will drive conversation. She has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a woman enough she will sell her own mother. Money is her most trusted friend.

History: The child of western immigrants she idolized her mother. In her 15th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her mother impaled in their home, and her father beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: She is terrified, and will act out of fear.

Personality: He is fixated on the number 27. He counts his steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. He seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: He got into the Barkeep business at a young age. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and nothing but the best is good enough for him

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Hupe embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. He is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Halflings.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. A freak accident while working with his Bricklayer father left him crippled. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Bather for the past few years.

Motivation: To settle down with his crush; and further expansion of business

Personality: She is unhospitable to her core. Her small house has "No trespassing" Signs all over it. The occasional robbery is her preferred attention getting crime, but she mainly uses her means for meeting her own perverse desires.

History: Bilga was born in the north. At a young age she loved to build and create. She became part of the deadliest team of assassins in recent memory. A botched job caused the group to be disbanded. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother; and she is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally

Description: A stocky lighter skinned man, he wears dull red sweaters, loose green pants, and alligator leather shoes. Beneath his sweater he keeps a concealed sai, just in case. He has styled his blonde hair well, parting it to the left. His eyes are amber and catlike.

Personality: He will use flattery and sarcasm to attack and weaken his opponents. Despite his formidable combat skills he remains a coward. He is ready at a moment's notice to give into his darker urges. He is a real pyromaniac and does not care who the fire hurts. He often ends up burning people alive in the fires he starts.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He would ruin relationships and cause injury. He was reprimanded several times before being given his current form and forced to learn humility.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions.

Personality: She is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help her friends. She considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. She is a great chef.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her mother and father. Her mother taught her the rudiments of the Dyer arts, while her father instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. She has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Dwarven artifacts is her passion; and she wants to meet her childhood hero
