Ar-Baruk grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Ar-Baruk. Being a Carter kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. At a young age she wooed the heart of her future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. Some 10 years later her spouse died after the birth of her son. Heartbroken, Unvera never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her son whom she trained as her father had trained her before.

History: He comes from a rich western family. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Detective. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Personality: She believes there is no problem she cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. She will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: Beast was born in the east. At a young age she loved to build and create. Her mother was a mechanic, and taught her how to fix just about anything. One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. Description: She wears dark leathers with embroidery. She has relatively light skin and is very physically imposing due to her abundance of muscles. Her hair is short and chestnut. Her half smiles and violet eyes are beguiling and draw you in.

Personality: She can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. She is accommodating to her spouse and as such limits her hospitality. She is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven herself a capable leader.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her mother and father. Her mother taught her the rudiments of the Spice Merchant arts, while her father instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the west were limited. She now mingles about in high society.
