History: Kairon lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His mother took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: She comes from a rich eastern family. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Her parents were killed by brigands in a raid when she was still a young child. The brigands captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. After a long history of fighting, Drusilia and her spouse have recently divorced.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform He was forced to fight in gladiatorial arenas alongside his partner.
