History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. In his 18th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.

History: Gifted from a young age, Alberich studied abroad. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He tends to his Unemployed job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Through the years after Verna was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north.
