Description: He wears tattered old clothes, but does not cut a very imposing figure. He walks with a slouch but will stand straight to his full 5'4" when asserting himself. His auburn hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. He wears an eyepatch.
Personality: He is a Miner first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.
History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Clerebold was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Elven companion (his 'brother'). He became a Miner soon after.
Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and to be a beggar again

Personality: Radomir is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He loves being with his children and actually smiles when they are around. He would do anything for them. He dislikes his ex a great deal.
History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his father. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
Motivation: He wants to get laid; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister

Personality: She dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the east. She is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes her no end of embarrassment.
History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Grai abandoned her home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. She survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. She did whatever it took for her to survive. When she grew older, she became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. She began work as a mercenary for hire. She would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.
Motivation: Money/treasure; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk he knows how to make people feel guilty. He is obsessed with a lost civilization.
History: Traki was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.
Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and obtaining odd cultural elven artifacts is his passion

Personality: He is a sleazy, sleazy guy. He has no qualms about using his powers of suggestion to get people to do what he wants. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.
History: He was born in a small forest village. Calcitro liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.
Motivation: To end his boredom; and he seems to be bored by most things

His Stetson hat is riddled with cuts and holes. His voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.
Personality: He acts crazy and hedonistic. He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.
History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. Cursed with vampirism at a very young age, Trym has worked very hard to control his curse. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
Motivation: He has passion for adventuring and risk; and he is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. He tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.
History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Rurik was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.
Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Interpreter and was forced into it by his family; and wants to have a good time and be beloved

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. He is kind towards other men and children and will generally offer men help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to him.
History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. Through the years after Lance was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Lance's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He now spends his time doing works of charity.
