History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Habor grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Habor. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

History: She got into the Cartwright business at a young age. Her family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Bethrynna was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. After coming to the age of reason, Bethrynna took it upon herself to study the martial arts in their entirety; because of this, she was labeled a dark omen and banished from her homeland.
