History: Valida hails from a village terrorized by orcs. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Miner. She has recently attracted an admirer that believes she's playing hard to get.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She has since lost track of the people in her past.
