In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. She has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel.
