Personality: Shanairla is a sociable creature first and foremost. She loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. She can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. She is fiercely devoted to her father, and views her father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-brother.

History: Shanairla was born in the north. At a young age she loved to build and create. Her father worked until she suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. She had to support her now crippled father and took her father's old job. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Marshal they were divorced and she won custody of their daughter. She worked as a Farmer, and she later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: Regain custody of her daughter; and retire the richest woman in the north

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: Her arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: She is content; and she uses money and sex appeal to get what she needs

History: He was raised in a plains tribe. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

History: He was born at the edge of vast desert. Hamil abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it.

The war was a terrible time for her, and Margery does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: She was born in a small desert village. Her father was a soldier and died while she was still young. Margery was left her father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
