History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Guard. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: She'd like to take her coworkers down a peg.

Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. On top of that he is swayed by a pretty face, and while loyalty to his employer will always come first he doesn't like to hit women.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Sage. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Halfling artifacts is his passion; and he wants revenge against dire rats

Personality: He is a Ploughman first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: Sweet was born in the north. At a young age he loved to build and create. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and retire the richest man in the north

Description: A middle-aged man, he is dressed in earthy colors with a black and grey handkerchief worn on his right side, and is pretty ugly. He wears a small hat to cover his moderate length red hair. He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: He speaks before he thinks and is too direct. He also is a firm believer in the manly ideal.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Adventurer responsibilities is difficult; and a rival would like him out of the picture

History: Harann was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Like her father and her sister before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Shepherd. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Sariel grew up listening to her mother's many stories. She found a children's book about a Half-Elf Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature longsword.

Motivation: She desires power and/or immortality; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark
