History: Born in the north to a Map Maker, Cumpen learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Map Maker work with an outfit from a few towns over. Map Maker work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. A few years later when the east was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.
