Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Gunnloda embodies much of what other species detest in the Dwarves. She misses her home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: She was raised in a forest tribe. Through the years after Gunnloda was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Gunnloda's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Born in the west his family was never financially stable. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Carpenter. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic woman, Naivara's first love is herself. Her second love is also herself. She constantly seizes attention wherever she goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. She likes to think of herself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: When she was but 8 years old her parents immigrated from the south. Her parents were killed by drow in a raid when she was still a young child. The drow captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. She left for the south, certain she would find work there.

Personality: He is quiet and unassuming. He ignores others and carries on with his job unassumingly. He enjoys reading and quiet.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: To pay off his debts; and balancing his hectic life and new guard responsibilities is difficult

History: Sarai was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her mother was employed at, doing general labor. Sarai was born on a far northern desert where she grew up under the tutelage of her mother, an expert Architect. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.

Motivation: Wants to have a good time and be beloved; and her religion dominates her actions

Personality: She trusts no one. She is not readily capable for forgiveness and her ire never leaves her. She has a small toy that she constantly fidgets with.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Symma was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Before the accident, she was one of the most outspoken anti-Half-Elven activists. She was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Half-Elven doctor. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Personality: Confrontational and typically high on some drug or another. She is obsessed with her god.

History: She was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family Matilda was a troubled youth. She spent her days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent her evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Matilda decided she wanted neither the life of her father nor that of the evil petty criminals she associated with. During her early adolescence, she took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. She has since married many spouses, only to have them die. She claims to not be responsible.

Personality: He runs his personal life as if detached from it. He organizes appointments and outings based on perceived benefits he will get from it. He passes on several rewards to people in need. He makes a point to leave places better than he found them.

History: Born in the east to a Sage, Varis learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. Recently the stress of being a Sage has made it difficult for him to sleep.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.
