He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Shepherd but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: Rael was born with his father's beautiful face. A gifted student he started as a Mortician, but he got bored and became a Shepherd. He's also a talented Mortician, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

History: The child of western immigrants she idolized her father. She moved out south to avoid the crime she committed. She used her abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

Personality: He is highly sensitive about his name. He loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. The occasional robbery is his preferred attention getting crime, but he mainly uses his means for meeting his own perverse desires.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Barber. She now owns her own business.

Personality: She is shy and timid. She has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. She loves teas. She is very sensitive about her face. To blow off anger she lifts weights and to control her otherwise explosive temper she works out a lot.

History: She was born in the north. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother; and regain custody of her daughter

Personality: She loves justice and goodness and right action. Anyone who does not fulfill this criteria perfectly will no doubt get a lecture from her. She is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Gnome in existence. She feeds upon the attention of others.

History: She was born into a rich family. Her first spouse was a Map Maker, they had one son, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.

Motivation: To unite with her sister; and to reunite with her absent mother

Description: He typically wears a sleeveless long coat of deep black leather and dull red iron scale mail. He has a slight overbite and is overall scrawny. He has no hair. His hazel eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

Personality: He is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Guard but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Personality: Her voice, at times compared to that of a Nymph, lambasts those who consider themselves "civilized" with snide, belittling remarks; the subtle growl she speaks with growing louder in doing so, one can find it most pronounced, despite the otherwise natural purity of her tone. When triggered she is a bloodthirsty maniac, stopping at nothing and killing everything for almost an hour.

History: Zanna was born with her father's beautiful face. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Zanna grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Zanna. She would ruin relationships and cause injury. She was reprimanded several times before being given her current form and forced to learn humility.

Motivation: A rival would like her out of the picture; and she will attempt to ambush and attack anyone she thinks she can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. if successful, she will try to sell them to her slave-trader contact
