History: Nicholas was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere. History: She comes from a rich southern family. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

Motivation: Her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion; and doesn't want to be a blacksmith and was forced into it by her family

History: He was born into a rich family. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
