He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Through the years after Ernest was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Ernest's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job.
