History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered dancing. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions; and her religion dominates her actions

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with singing. He constantly tries to fill his life with singing. He also is a firm believer in the manly ideal.

History: A child with a great deal of singing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. As a young child he wandered into the woods despite his mother's warnings against it. Afterwards he claimed he had encountered dire rats who tried to eat his hand. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Many dire rats want him driven away; and to prove his worth to the world

Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. He is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it.

History: Born in the south his family was never financially stable. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Carpenter.

Description: She prefers to wear the grand gowns of high society. She carries her fan with her everywhere and carries herself as the perfect lady. She carries a battered axe and tarnished sword as well. Her hair, while still mostly black, has prominent grey streaks. She wears crescent spectacles with a black brim.

Personality: A grumpy gal she will invite people to lunch so she can critique them. Yet she still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. When she's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, she's doing poetry.

History: She comes from a rich western family. Through the years after Gaaki was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Gaaki's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

Personality: He is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before his hampering stammer kicks in. He passes on several rewards to people in need. He makes a point to leave places better than he found them.

History: Gifted from a young age, Theren studied abroad. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: Wants to raise his children well; and regain custody of his son

Personality: She tends to agree with only herself unless someone else's opinion sounds like she can profit from it. She tries to control her temper but she can't always stop herself from what she feels what must be done. She is fiercely devoted to her father, and views her father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-sister.

History: She got into the Miller business at a young age. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. She now owns her own business.

Motivation: Regain custody of her daughter; and further expansion of business

Personality: He believes mankind has become decadent and spoiled by the march of civilization and an end should come to life as we know it. His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage son.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. Dynamic abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the east; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister
