History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Mercenary. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Mercenary for the past few years.

History: Halander was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His first spouse was a Mortician, they had one son, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: He feels kind of lost in life; and regain custody of his son

Description: She wears a brown collared shirt and blue skirt. She accessorizes with a grey scarf around the waist and a strap diagonally across her shirt, and carries maces. Her fur is red, silky, and of moderate length. Her eyes are a pleasant copper.

Personality: She goes out her way to put a smile on everyone's face. There's no-one she won't accept into her heart. She is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure she is not cheated out of a speck.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. In her formative years she discovered how persuasive she was. She began using that to her advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: She is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions

Description: She is lean but muscular and is dressed in an above average manner. Her red hair is still thick. Her gold eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.

Personality: While she is on the job, she is grim and serious. She understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. She is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Her father was a soldier and died while she was still young. Akta was left her father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. After months of barely getting by, Akta managed to ambush a major caravan with a load of valuables. Instantly wealthy, she made her way to the capital under a new identity.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Xanaphia grew up listening to her father's many stories. She found a children's book about a Elf Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Personality: She does not care much for physical appearances, nor does she care much for other people. She does however care about what she wants and getting it. She never wears the same outfit twice, unless she absolutely has to.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Vanchu was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Being born in the east, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the east for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Crown-heir they were divorced and she won custody of their son. She worked as a Jeweler, and she later adopted a second son.

Personality: He dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the east. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: His religion dominates his actions; and he's attracted to the pc

Personality: Friendly and accommodating she would invite many more into her home than her spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. She is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: A child with a great deal of painting talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered painting. She has never given up on her painting dream.

Motivation: She is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and wants her loneliness to end

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He worked as a nervous Guard and found it very stressful. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
