He found a children's book about a Tabaxi Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

History: He was born in the north. At a young age his mother died while driving off some orcs. His father being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in glaive use. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact; and a deep hatred of orcs

History: A powerful wizard made her what she is. In her formative years she discovered how persuasive she was. She began using that to her advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Description: She wears a shirt and pants that are bristling with pockets overflowing with maps, compasses, and other navigational equipment. She has a slight overbite and is overall scrawny. Her white hair is long and unkept. Her face is scarred and worn.

Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk she knows how to make people feel guilty. The war was a terrible time for her, and Paela does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Paela was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. When Paela reached her early adolescence her Halfling father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Personality: He is a Sailor first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His childhood dream was to be a Bather, but he was a colossal failure. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A deep hatred of illithids.

History: She comes from a rich eastern family. She inherited a moderately successful company from her mother. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: He was born into a rich family. His first spouse was a Hunter, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Hunter they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Bather, and he later adopted a second daughter.

History: The child of southern immigrants she idolized her father. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She left for the south, certain she would find work there.
