However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the giants.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. Being a Barrister kept her interest for a while, but then she became depressed and bored. So she turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Motivation: She is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions; and she has decided she is irredeemable

Personality: In the realm of puns, he cannot help himself. He feels obliged to make them. He cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.

History: He was born in a small forest village. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and balancing his hectic life and new spice merchant responsibilities is difficult
