History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Pearl fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: Born to a Sage, his father struggled to pay the bills. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the mountains to a summer home near a ruined castle. He would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the mountains due to the painful memories there. Patrick took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up rapier and armor he uses now. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

History: He was born into a rich family. His first spouse was a Gardener, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

Personality: Duergath is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He is kind towards other men and children and will generally offer men help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to him.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Duergath was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Ruler work with an outfit from a few towns over. Ruler work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
