History: Harriet was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her father was employed at, doing general labor. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Synthrin grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Synthrin. Recently she has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

History: Her father raised her in a mountain cabin. Through the years after Sora was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Sora's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
