Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: He doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. Since then, she has sought to make the best of life.

Personality: She takes her job very seriously, in part because she fears she cannot get a new one. She seeks to pay back kindness whenever she gets the chance. Whether it be in the form of unwanted serenades or the latest gossip she always seeks to do solids for her friends.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Tieflings in the west were limited. By chance she met her sister recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: Many illithids want her driven away; and she is unsatisfied with her job

History: Qualen lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He helped his mother out around the business and became quite the natural. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Painter for hire.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Painter and was forced into it by his family.

Description: An older woman who wears a large hat to cast shadows over her face and wears ponchos to better hide her body, she is not a threatening figure. Her chestnut hair is slicked back into a classic pompadour. She is missing an eye and her face is severely sunburned. Her one remaining eye shines hazel.

Personality: She hates giants. She views them as having robbed her home of its proper glory. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Pyntle is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. Her parents were killed by giants in a raid when she was still a young child. The giants captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. She has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.
