History: Cora was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere. She made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Tordrid was born with her father's beautiful face. She has had some formal painting training, and achieved minor success. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

History: Mara lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. In her 17th year, her parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Mara alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. Because her father participated in the massacre of their homeland, drow burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. She was preparing to flee to the west, but the outbreak of war prevented her and her mother from journeying west to reunite her family. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the east. He found a children's book about a Gnome Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

History: She was born into a rich family. Being born in the north, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.
