History: She was born in the east, but her parents moved at a very young age to the west. Bardryn was born on a far eastern plains where she grew up under the tutelage of her father, an expert Bookbinder. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone.
