History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. Her homeland was ravaged by war and she spent much of her life rebuilding it. She has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and wishes to resurrect an old love

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. She has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to her frivolously. She became a Cartwright soon after.
