History: Drifting was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her mother was employed at, doing general labor. Cursed with vampirism at a very young age, Drifting has worked very hard to control her curse. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

Personality: She is a woman who does what she needs to. She will acquiesce to black mail and extortion to avoid trouble. She cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist she will grow angry at them.

History: Heir to a fortune, her parents put a great deal of effort into curing her disease. A freak accident while working with her Dyer father left her crippled. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

His eyes, though not visible through his cowl, are amber.

Personality: While he is on the job, he is grim and serious. He understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. He has a small toy that he constantly fidgets with.

History: He comes from a rich western family. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. Being a Fortune-teller kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Motivation: He is a bit of a kleptomaniac; and seeks redemption

Personality: A deeply religious woman she believes everything happens for a reason. She takes great joy in being the best Miner in town.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She now owns her own business.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Miner responsibilities is difficult; and expand her business

Personality: He misses his glory days as an athlete. He does not mind his job, but it is boring in comparison. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: He was born at the edge of vast mountains. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: Calm and collected, he is a well trained Carter. He would rather hide behind his crafts than deal with other people.

History: He got into the Carter business at a young age. Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. Her first spouse was a Shipwright, they had one son, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Personality: This man loves dancing and to teach people dancing more than just about anything. He enjoys reading and quiet.

History: Hadarai was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His childhood dream was to be a Miner, but he was a colossal failure. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Barber for the past few years.
