Personality: She resents people who mock her appearance or her, so she has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. Her temper goes off on the smallest of things. She tends to lash out at those around her.

History: Mella was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere. Mella abandoned her home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. She survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. She did whatever it took for her to survive. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Eloise grew up listening to her mother's many stories. As a young adult she joined a group advocating for an improvement in Half-Elven conditions. Personality: He is a hateful person. He taunts others and blames them for his problems. More though he will beg to come along on any journeys. He will attempt to stowaway on any ship he can in the hopes that it will get him further away.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Halfling compassion; and he is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out

Personality: Deceptive and manipulative this northern guy figured out how to best use his charms to convince people to do what he wants. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: He is greedy; and money/treasure

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: Wants to raise his children well; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother

History: Gifted from a young age, Merihim studied abroad. Through the years after Merihim was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Merihim's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Gerard grew up listening to his mother's many stories. He found a children's book about a Human Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and obtaining odd cultural halfling artifacts is his passion
