History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Serpent grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Serpent. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.

Description: This younger middle-aged woman wears long strands of topaz and short brown dresses (or suits) accompanied by the proper stockings and shoes, with gloves of varying lengths, and a wedding ring on her left hand. She has wavy silver hair. Her eyes are green and catlike.

Personality: She is intelligent and cunning, but she will too often allow her rage to get the better of her. She will lose her cool and rely on brute force to carry the day. Despite her manner, she is extremely passionate and proud of her job, and she prides herself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Yurgunn was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Herbalist. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 9 years.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Akmen alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He's also a talented Fortune-teller, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: To unite with his brother; and wants to work out more often

Personality: Her tongue was cut out and she uses sign language. A fanatic, her devotion to her small selection of gods is unquestionable. She claims to be doing their will and will base all her actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: She comes from a rich western family. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

Personality: She dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the west. She is skeptical of what others tell her and is slow to trust.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She feels kind of lost in life; and she loathes her own lifestyle

History: She got into the Mercenary business at a young age. A freak accident while working with her Interpreter father left her crippled. She's also a talented Interpreter, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Description: This woman is moderately tanned and has just the faintest trace of an accent. She wears a lot of dark rich colors, with gold accents. She keeps her cinnamon fur in a flapper bob. She has gleaming, smiling blue eyes.

Personality: Leaf hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate her. It was this clingy personality that held back her dancing career. She claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day she will do what she thinks is right.

History: Leaf was born the youngest of three triplets. She has had some formal dancing training, and achieved minor success. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

Motivation: An old rival family wants her found.

Personality: He speaks before he thinks and is too direct. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of dire rats once and for all.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His father was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it; and he has passion for adventuring and risk
