History: Born in the north to a Engraver, Carlin learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. In her 15th year, her parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Carlin alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She now owns her own business.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Barrister hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Emerald embodies much of what other species detest in the Tabaxis. He is afraid of women and trembles around them

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Emerald grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Emerald. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. Her childhood dream was to be a Bellfounder, but she was a colossal failure. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 14 years.

Personality: He is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. The war was a terrible time for him, and Broce does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Broce was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: His religion dominates his actions; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. Since her father passed away years ago, her mother had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: Laucian was born the youngest of three triplets. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.
