Personality: She will use flattery and sarcasm to attack and weaken her opponents. Despite her formidable combat skills she remains a coward. She is a great chef.
History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Emerald was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her childhood dream was to be a Bather, but she was a colossal failure. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Description: This exceptionally lanky man wears many layers of old clothing at all times. He has done his best to style his blonde hair to look like a famous performer. He has blue eyes and a brown hat with a grey feather.
Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. A true patriot, Brottor would do anything for his country. He is fiercely protective of his fellow citizens and foreign allies.
History: Brottor was born the youngest of three triplets. His father was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk she knows how to make people feel guilty. She is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. She haggles over everything, upselling her goods and buying cheap. She is persistent in everything.
History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. When she grew older, she became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. She began work as a mercenary for hire. She would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.
Motivation: Retire the richest woman in the north.

Description: He wears dull red sweaters, loose black pants, and alligator leather shoes. Beneath his sweater he keeps a concealed mace, just in case, and he perpetually has his mace ready. He keeps his long chestnut hair kept up in a rat tail. His hazel eyes dart from person to person to random spaces in the air.
Personality: He will rave to anyone who will listen. He invented a lineage for himself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.
History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Joser fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Description: She is an average looking northern female in her early mid-life. She wears a black shirt, with a pastel mid length skirt with pastel tights and flats, usually wearing a coat over them. Her hair is cut close to her head. She was beautiful and young once, which still shows through her age, but it is a faded beauty.
Personality: She shows great sympathy to all travelers. She's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. Gomory is a bit of a follower. Usually she is manipulated by her brothers into helping them out, but recently she has become more of a free agent.
History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when orcs swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by orcs. Gomory was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the orcs.
Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and she desires to right it

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He has never given up on his dancing dream.
Motivation: He possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

Personality: She fancies herself a trickster and likes to rely on her wits to carry the day. She cares for her older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. She is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.
History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. Since her mother passed away years ago, her father had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
