Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: Gifted from a young age, Valafar studied abroad. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: She was born in the east. Volen was born on a far eastern mountains where she grew up under the tutelage of her father, an expert Server. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Ethereal was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Ethereal liked to wander the woods near her home when she was young, something she still likes to do at least once a week. She never liked modest clothing or shoes, so she would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and she developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Sage and was forced into it by her family; and balancing her hectic life and new sage responsibilities is difficult
