His smile is extraordinarily sincere though he does not smile often.

Personality: Abrasive and pushy, he has a hard time making friends. He would rather hide behind his crafts than deal with other people.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Guard arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: His martial talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. He always admired martial-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

History: When she was but 7 years old her parents immigrated from the north. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: To reunite with her absent father; and regain custody of her son

History: He was born in the north. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: Edge was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: He misses his glory days as an athlete. He does not mind his job, but it is boring in comparison. Richard is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Richard was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Guard they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Carpenter, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: Marry his sister to traveling adventurers; and wants to raise his children well
