When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Carter hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She left for the east, certain she would find work there.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Adelard was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Sailor.
