History: He comes from a rich western family. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the west were limited. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Motivation: He possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal; and a rival would like him out of the picture

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. Through the years after Morgran was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east.
